You can't fix infrastructure and education even if you reduced aid to zero, and that would mean cutting the largest 'aid' fund, which is counter terrorism (10 billion).

Good point. All that is subsidized, too.

Quite the opposite. Toll roads are a perfect solution.

It does, but the role of government is not to make a profit off its citizenry. However, that is precisely what a corporation's purpose is. Also what happens in areas where it's not profitable to build a road. What are you going to do then?

I guess we should just privatize the army too while we're at it right?

We give foreign aid, not out of the goodness of our hearts.....but to buy influence.

Egypt is not going all Jihad on Israel because they are getting paid.........repeat that scenario over and over.

Education gets plenty of money....that is really not an issue as far as all the dullards we have in school, who don't really care about learning.

We should charge Israel for everything we do for them. We do not owe them a dime.

The amount we give these countries is mere pittance. We need to create and then invest $T's into our infrastructure (and educational systems). This will yield a vast number of new jobs for the current time frame, and then produce the groundwork for more future general economic expansion. We can do both if there are enough good and useful reasons.
