The problem is many see this as politically influenced. Since O traded him for the five terrorists, in addition to the ridiculous rose garden ceremony, many believe the army higher ups were told how this needs to pan out so that the administration doesn't look so foolish.
Pretty much comes down to that.

No, as he in essence volunteered for that time by deserting.

Not just yes, but HELL YES!

People died looking for this deserter. Now they're trying to spin it to be something it wasn't. They are trying to discredit every soldier (they supposedly love) that was there and who contradicts their story line.

Bergdahl should get life for the lives lost unnecessarily because of him.

The whole thing is politics!!!

Maybe we should give him a medal, huh?

Agree that the White House Rose Garden was a mistake, taking it out on Bergdahl makes no sense.
As Bergdahl was the cause and excuse for the ceremony it makes a great deal of sense.

Since he was used as an example of duty and heroism by the Obama administration in that Rose Garden ceremony, lies furthered by Obama, yes he must be made to suffer.

I suggest a remedial course in ethics for you, you may gain some insight.

I said nothing but the facts. If he's found guilty, he should be sentenced in accordance to UCMJ sentencing guidelines. What's so profound about that that would make you believe that I know that Obama put the fix in?
Perhaps hailing as a victory in the Rose Garden his exchange? Obama making a big deal out of one of his own traitorous decisions based on no facts (as usual).

In point of fact, Obama violated a long standing policy of the US, he dealt with terrorists and not for the last time. That is what he did wrong this time.

Read his previous posts and it becomes obvious.

Soldiers died but not while looking for him.

The military will decide his fate not politicians but it appears that McCain is playing politics even before the verdict.

Just an observation:

The die-hard died-in-the-wool liberals in here are defending an obvious deserter that cost the lives of other soldiers.

This explains a lot!
