Hey lefties, ask yourselves this....(now really think hard before answering!) why don't the wealthy lefties who keep pushing for "living wage" start by buying up franchises in poor neighborhoods and paying a "living wage" to the residents in those neighborhoods? Offer healthcare, childcare, paid time off for maternity, three or four weeks of vacation, profit sharing, etc....show us how it can be done!

It should bring up the quality of life, lower violence and give those residents the help that they need.

Ask yourself this....why do you think only those on the left should resolve problems affecting us all?

Wow! You are absolutely amazing. You have taken a chronic national challenge and solved it in a quick, snarky sound bite. Imagine if the whole of society, including the wealthy, would devote themselves to the issue of poverty. We could radically change our country. Of course, it doesn't make for a cute dig at the poor or political liberal.

Here is another thought. What if conservatives in America held big businesses to the actual tax code and used that revenue to provide for the poor, pay national debt, or even to reinvest in the infasrtructure they currently exploit? Why not try to garner revenues from them before a single working mom? I gaurantee the big business owes much more than the mom.

I dunno...why am I required (by the left) to adopt all the kids not aborted by women who can`t be bothered with contraceptives as a condition of my opposition to abortion on demand?

I think he was being satirical. Much as I have said, if the Left want's college to be free, make the Leftist professors work for free, or make them at least work for no more than minimum wage.

Amazing how quickly the left tries to change the topic when it comes to putting THEIR own money where their mouths are.

I think "big business" already adheres to the "actual" tax code. If you don't like the provisions of the tax code that allow them to reduce their tax burden, contact your Representative and complain. Otherwise, be silent.

Their representatives, both R and D, are bought and paid for by the people getting special exemptions in the tax code for their particular industries. And they are nearly always structured to support big corporations and strangle smaller competitors. Exactly what Ayn Rand preached about 70 years ago. Of course no one is listening.

Because they're the ones touting it.

But I digress...why don't they lead the way?
