160 questions about his relationship with the Clintons.
50 questions about the Clinton Foundation.
Less than 20 questions about the Benghazi attacks.
Zero questions about the United States presence in Benghazi.

And remember, this purportedly was part of an investigation about the Benghazi attack, yet out of the close to 600 questions they asked him less than 20 had anything whatsoever to do with the Benghazi attack.

The transcript of Blumenthal's testimony would highlight, with no room for obfuscation, exactly what this pretend committee was looking for, and it had nothing to do with finding the truth behind the attacks and everything to do with trying to bring Clinton down.

Gowdy knows this. That's why he's fighting so hard to keep his duplicity under wraps.
BRRRP!
Fail.

When you testify in court you do not get to hear the answers of the previous witnesses. You are directed to wait in the hall.

Hillary was granted an exception.

In the end we will get to hear all the testimony and see all the transcript. If we find that Blumenthal lied, so be it; if he had nothing to hide, we will see that, too.
But he will not be given a chance to send his message forward to the other witnesses. Unless he calls them.

Standard investigative procedure. You've seen it hundreds of times, although I am sure you will pretend you never heard of such a thing...........

That was the one question the Goudy Committee was forbidden to ask or too stupid to ask and it's the one question that is really the heart of the matter.
Sure is. And if Clinton lies, by either omission or commission, maybe she's in on the secret too, and is still respecting the oath of office she took as SoS.

After 7? previous investigations, you'd think that the Rs would have formed some theory about what actually happened at Benghazi, and would have focussed their line of questioning sufficiently to have started laying out their case. Gowdy, as a former prosecutor, surely knows how to build a case. Or maybe he doesn't, and that's why he's no longer a prosecutor? A fishing expedition is the sign of someone who doesn't have a case to make.

Everyone who watches TV and movie courtroom dramas knows that you never ask a question if you don't already know what the answer will be, and have a plan for following up on the answer you get.

Asking Clinton whether she spent the night at home, and with whom? Come on.

You should tell that to the pretend Benghazi committee. They have been selectively leaking bits and pieces of the testimony that they want out there. Why is that okay?

Benghazi became the lightning rod it did because divisive politicians made it so. Politicians consistently use the age old divide and conquer to split Americans up so they can get elected and serve their big money contributors. In the mean time the rest of us sit and squabble over scraps while our elected officials sit fat and happy.

[MOD CUT/off topic]

One does not cite Wiki to make a point. You might as well bring a deranged homeless person in and have him testify on HRC's behalf. Why? Everyday people with simple minds can write into that site and those with simple minds will agree with it. It might be fun for trivial pursuit but for anything real, such as BENGHAZi hearings, it is fodder.

We know where your loyalty is.

I truly wonder what is meant by "spending of taxpayer money" in these instances. I don't see the outrage from the same voices when BO and FLO are jetting around the globe; a true waste of tax dollars.

When congress is investigating and holding these hearings - an essential part of "due process", something many Americans are clueless to - they are doing their jobs; they are paid to do such. Would you rather they sit in their offices drinking and playing 'spank the secretary' Mad Men style?

The mob mentality is evident. Do you defend HRC because you like her or because you toe the line?

Sigh. This is mind boggling. The nonsense just doesn't stop.

As for the "OMG its 4 lives!!!!!" from other.... Its also 4.7 million in costs, and has been investigated for over 520 days. its been made clear that so far they have NOTHING. And its been made clear that its entirely politically driven.

Think about what the families of these 4 have been drug through....for a political smear campaign. Thats disgusting.
What is disgusting is reading/watching the sleeping sheep defend the criminals to the point of near applause.
What if those who pulled these stunts off were in a republican administration? The squealing weasels would squeal 24/7.
Yes, the nonsense has to stop. The crooked DOJ can't turn a blind eye to that which a young child could name as "wrong".
4 lives and their families live with the fact BOH, president of the USA, threw them under the bus to save his sorry ass as well of those of his regime.
You really want to mention $4.7M? Solyndra, CFC, endless QEs, nonstop military actions in the middle east....on and on.
Itemize your $4.7M and compare that to any other fact finding endeavors made by government. What is the bill for a two week Christmas getaway to Hawaii?

Political schmear campaign?? BHO and gang has been doing that since 2006.
