Murder? If they had aborted this child a very few weeks earlier that decision to abort would have been legal.

I'm sorry that you support parents allowing their children die because some sky fairy said medicine is bad.

Did the couple realize the seriousness of their child health? I wonder if they did or if they understood the health risks that the premature birth creates. Did they even realize how far along the baby was at the time of the birth? A lot of unanswered questions...

They felt their path was in line with the teachings of their faith, they have paid the ultimate price but their child didn't have a choice...

Playing devil's advocate here, neither does a 21 week old fetus in Kansas or a 19 week fetus in 13 states aborted by his/her parents.

I'm not saying the parents did the right or wrong thing by following their religion. I'm just saying if the parents had decided to have an abortion a few weeks, two to four perhaps, earlier they wouldn't be sentenced to 6 years in jail for their decision to have an abortion. I find this legal case very troubling against these parents.

I don't know what your sky fairy said, but God never said medicine is bad. God created medicine.

Regarding this case, I don't see how this is different from child endangerment or child neglect. Any child, of whatever age, is entitled to get medical help if he/she becomes ill.

God created medicine? Then why on earth did he wait for 100,000 years of human death, disease, and suffering before he decided to come up with antibiotics?

All religions should be outlawed.
Causes nuthin' but trouble for thousands of years.
Get rid of that crap already.
Besides, science has basically proven all that stuff is phoney baloney anyway.

the parents could not have gotten a late term abortion if the child was healthy. there are restrictions to a LTA you can't just abort that late in the game for no reason whatsoever.

yes, these parents should go to jail. they should have called 911. they don't necessarily need to serve a full six years but they do need jail time. religion should be no excuse to not get medical care for a baby or anyone else.
