Me, My Parents, my 3 children, my two grandchildren.

How much did we spend on healthcare before Obamacare?

How much do we all spend in healthcare after Obamacare?

The difference is astonishing, enough to even break us.

Anyone?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Well if you like taxes vote for Sanders. He stood there on the stage and stated "yes, we have the guts to come and take your wad"....a bit classless as far as statements go, but he is a man of his convictions and will do that. Any liberal who owns real estate other than their main home is in for a ride and rightfully so. Just take what you want mentality with this guy. But rest assured, he will still be eating Kobi beef for lunch. The moronic youth who will support him will not have such luxury phones and shoes and pray tell what will they do with the "free" degree when Bernie destroys all the corporations that would have hired them. I guess they can sit in their new cargo container home and impress each other.
the sad thing is, these Weekend at Bernie voters could just turn their heads and take a look at a few countries that are failed socialist empires.... We have far too large a population to compare us to Denmark

I don't understand, I really don't.

You vote for a man who promises to tax you to death, then when you see how much more is coming out of your check, you whine?

If your parents die tomorrow, God forbid, does the government really deserve over half of what your mom or dad wanted to leave you? If you inherit your Mom's house, does the government deserve to own over half that house?

This is what DEMOCRATS{no republicans} voted for, tax.

I don't understand.
Snopes does a credible job of addressing the above lies/ misrepresentations.

Most changes came about as a result of the 2012 American Taxpayer Relief Act, ( not the ACA/ Obamacare ) compromised legislation, to avoid the fiscal cliff. It had an element of bipartisan support and impacts a small percentage of so- called high income earners.

For example, the Capital Gains and Dividend tax increases impact about 3% of higher income households filing taxes and exempts 97% of filers. The rate increased to 20%, not the 28- 39.6% in the link.

The federal estate tax exempts the first $ 5.43 Million of an adjusted estate value and the rate is 40%, not the 55% lie in the link. The link portrays the prior tax rate as zero is also a lie. Look at historical estate tax rates. Those with high value estate employ estate tax lawyers who structure estates to minimize or avoid taxes. Most people don't have to be concerned because their greatest concern is outliving their savings, if any.

The 3.5% real estate tax is also misleading. The first $500,000 of gains is exempted from taxation which covers the majority of property transfers in the US. Only that portion of gain in excess of $500,000 is subject to the tax and depends on total taxable income.

The Internet is chock full of contrived information intended to influence and/ or validate people's erroneous perceptions.

mma - Why are you trying to disillusion all these right thinking people with simple facts? It hurts their minds to face contradictions.

Our current inheritance taxes have very large deductibles. I believe out income taxes should as well. I suggest taxing all income from all sources after deducting an amount equal to the 90th percentile. That would literally free up 90% of us from the Federal Income tax. As the top 10% already have 90% of the income let them pay for the government that caters to their wishes.

Now you understand why they had to pass the bill without knowing what was in it.

As I recall, Obamacare requires any Medicaid recipient to pay the money back out of their estate. So millenials won't be inheriting the homes of their parents should one of them end up in a nursing home for any length of time.

Too bad, so sad.

Yeah, I will leave all that fancy talk to you guys, it's all Greek to me.

I can only testify of how it has directly effected me personally and my family in a very personal way from losing doctors, losing health care we had forever and how much it has effected how we live. You put regulations and taxes on people who earn more and you find that your doctor has gotten rid of half his clients and the people he sees now must pay an extra 600 bucks just to see him. I know that my mother suffers in pain so much, and she can't even get pain medication anymore. What would it matter if only the big earners are effected, ever heard of trickle down?

You slap regulations and taxes on industry and don't expect it to hurt the common man?

If a person is alive in America, he has to have a health insurance policy or pay the government?
