I don't see anything wrong with a homogenous country. Call me racist.

Wait... what?!? Countries are now deemed "racist" because the preponderance of their citizens are one color. Some one should alert China, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Iceland, Iran and most countries in Africa. I'm sure they'll want to do something about it post haste.

There is a real estate bubble in Denmark with annual appreciation of about 10%. When an apartment building is sold, the cost basis changes and rents can increase subject to lease terms.

Average living space in Denmark is about half of what it is in the US. so the only way to compare is cost per meter.

The Danes are taxed on world wide income.

Perhaps a better question might be what percentage of Danes do not voluntarily declare 100% of world wide income.

Denmark's taxes are regressive:

And that's even before consumption taxes (VAT, etc.) are added to the analysis.

I am on an iPad right now and don't know how to link. Google income tax in Denmark and you will quickly see their income taxes are progressive.

The people of Denmark enjoy an average 33-hour work week, get guaranteed healthcare, guaranteed college, a YEAR of paid FMLA, and if they become unemployed, the can receive up to 90% of their previous salary for TWO YEARS. They are also ranked as the #1 happiest nation on earth, have much lower poverty, higher wages, less gun deaths, and best of all.....THE #1 NATION IN THE WORLD TO DO BUSINESS!!!

I am consistently appalled that so many conservatives in this nation continue to believe that there's not a single example in the world where Democratic Socialism has worked. They simply refuse to acknowledge it. Do you REALLY think a Denmark person would actually WANT to move to America?!

I don't want to hear, "but but....socialism has never worked anywhere in the world," ever again. It's right wing propaganda BALONEY.
Their population growth has been remarkably flay for 40 years, they have very little racial or ethnic diversity, and their entire population is 25% that of the New York metropolitan area. The illegal aliens population alone in the USA, is almost four times the population of Denmark.

You cannot compare apples to oranges.

Name 5 fundamental innovations that have been created out of the Danish economy. Looking for things that have changed the world.

Danes are required to pay taxes on world wide income.

The Danes do not however require other countries to report accounts held by Danes.

Thus my question about the percentage of Danes who do not declare world wide income for tax purposes.

Sounds like an honor system to me.
