97% of Obamacare's "newly insured" are from Medicaid expansion. (premium, insurance)

Data from 2014 shows that the ACA was responsible for insuring 9.25 million more Americans. According to a recent analysis, that gain was almost entirely due to Medicaid expansion.

The implementation of the ACA appears to have had three effects on insurance coverage in 2014: (1) a modest shift among enrollees with prior individual-market coverage from “off-exchange” to “on-exchange” plans; (2) a substantial increase in individual-market enrollment that was matched by a nearly equivalent decline in employer-group plan enrollment (particularly among fully insured group plans); and (3) a significant increase in Medicaid enrollment, particularly in the states that had the ACA Medicaid expansion in effect during the year.

In sum, when it comes to increasing the number of individuals with health insurance coverage, the net effect of the ACA in 2014 was almost entirely a simple expansion of Medicaid.

It's interesting to see what Obamacare has actually accomplished as opposed to what the President and his supporters said that it would accomplish. People claimed victory over 9 million newly insured people but based on these numbers we can see that 97% of the newly insured are on Medicaid. Meanwhile a lot of people who had previously been able to afford health insurance ;ost their plans due to the doubling and tripling of premiums and we are seeing more and more people on exchange plans and Medicaid reporting that they can't find any doctors who will take their insurance/Medicaid. What an epic disaster this has been.

Yes or no. Have Republicans done everything in their power to successfully roll out this policy?

What besides republican states expanding medicaid could republicans have done to make this thing work?

Btw expanding medicaid isn't making anything work except busting budgets.

No one was dying in the street pre Obamacre due to lack of access to emergency care. Do you care about the people who lost their plans due to the high cost of plans post obamacare?
