This column was pulled from The Independent's website. But, Alec Baldwin scanned his copy of the paper and submitted it to the Huffington Post.

Honestly, I thought it was funny. Sometimes people need not take everything so seriously.

That column was a pathetic attempt at humor. He might have been a little more successful without the outright racist insults aimed at Barack Obama. If someone doesn't like Barack Obama that's fine, if someone wants to make fun of Barack Obama that also is fine. But relying on racist insults in order to make fun of him is completely unacceptable.

There's no humor here folks. Nothing at all.

Yeah, ok dude. I'm a small minded biggot. I don't need the liberal thought police to tell me what I am allowed to think is funny. Nothing is sacred anymore in today's society. Religion is mocked, people are mocked, turn on Southpark or Family guy desieses and disablities are mocked. But then there is race the all sacred color of your skin. Get over it. Grow some balls. Pray tell, why is it funny when Chris Rock makes fun of a white man, but if a white man makes fun of a black man its racism?

Usually when things are funny there is some intelligence behind the humor. This article had neither.

Despite its generally offensive contents, I thought it had a great deal of intelligence. Most notably, it points out that Obama's platform is ridiculously abstract.
