Why would you pay to support a media company that never wrote a single character of reportage on a Bundy rangeland escalation that involved 1000 people at its peak before a chastened BLM retreated. Then continued not to scribe a single word on it until a full 6 days later, and then only in an opinion piece, because of its Marxist abject fear of the 10th Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

If you'd read only the Times, you literally would never have known the controversy existed throughout its month-long timeline.

There will always be buyers of lies, I suppose. Always people who'll support A Million Little Pieces at Amazon even after Oprah gets a clue.

What do you care if people like the NYT and subscribe to it? Is it any skin off your back?

That paper has some excellent sections...it's not just front page stories that people like.

There's more to life than politics.

Not a single word was written on the subject by the New York Times before Egan's petulant opinion 6 days after BLM released the cattle it hadn't destroyed.

Yet people keep paying his salary and those of his peers.

Because it attempts to mislead readers. Frank Bruni is so frustrated that Cruz is ahead of Jeb in the polls that he can't keep his story straight today. Dishonesty finds expression in contradictory accounts.

Whether it's the NYT or some other outlet, let's face it, the media in this country, right down to local affiliates, has become nothing but a propaganda wing of the Democratic Party, with very few exceptions.

I love the NYT. It tells me what our elites think of us, it tells me what many people who read the NYT think of the wrong kinds of white people of this country. It's very voyeristic into the minds, thoughts, opinions and beliefs of people who hate me.

I'll read it until its majority Mexican owner decides he's done with it.

IMHO - Bundy's cattle should have been collected and sold to pay the government expenses in this case. Bundy should have gone to jail for tax evasion. The thousand or more supporters should have been jailed on riot charges.

The West has lived for way too long on Federal crop, land and irrigation subsidies. These services should be sold at free market rates on a first come first served basis.

This.

OP, it sounds to me like you advocate reducing access to information that provides a message you don't want disseminated.
Isn't that the very definition of bias?

You don't like the NY Times because of their Clive Bundy coverage?

What about the fact that they helped convince Americans to support the Iraq war through misinformation?
