Horsecrap. He attempted to answer the question at then end but the MODERATORS cut him off.
He was fed up with the moderators, as were most of America.
You'd have point if people on both sides of the aisle weren't deriding this as one of the worst run presidential debates in history. It's absolutely acceptable for a candidate to call them out on it.

He spent his 60 secs to talk about the mods, so he lost his turn. He should have spent far less time talking about mods, and more time talking about what he has to say. If you spend your entire turn talking about something else than the question, then it sure makes you look like you are deflecting.

It is ok to call out bad mods, but to whine about it is something else. Its not about the mods, its about how the candidates handle bad mods, and Huckabee, Bush, Rubio and Trump handled them well, while Cruz and Christie came across as whiners.

What would Cruz do if he became president? Play the victim and cry about the unfairness of the media? Haven't we seen enough of that already? Whoever is the president will have to learn how to deal with critics.

It's also hilarious you should mention Nixon, considering you're probably a fan of the current administration and Hillary.
If you recall, the first debate was on Fox and Trump lashed out at the moderator.

I thought the mods were hard-hitting but at times they also dis not use proper decorum -- such as when one used "comic book character" to Trump.

I also thought the mods were good at fact-checking, like when Trump said he never did something that was actually listed on his website.

Rubio's tax-plan does tilt toward the rich, even though he denied it.

Ben Carson lied. He has indeed been deeply involved with Mannatech.

It was not an attempt to answer but it was a way to filibuster his 1 minute of time. The mods did the right thing and moved on.

The American people are tired of the attacks on each other and are starting to realize that the GOP has got nothing.

Their tax program is a joke which will bankrupt the country and create massive tax increases at the state level. It will cause massive damage to the infrastructure of the nation.

Middle class tax credits will be the first thing dropped leading to an actual tax increase on the 99%.

The State of NC and it Republican Gov. and Legislature have put it in place and taxes have gone up for the Middle and lower class as well as sales, property, real estate taxes. The GOP favorite FEES (GOP for taxes) have also gone up.

The Flat tax is the 1% dream, get all the benefits and not pay for anything.

I don't think 60 seconds was long enough to criticize the behavior of the mods.
I'm not a Cruz supporter but I DO NOT think he was deflecting the question at all, he attempted to answer it afterwards.

It's NOT playing the victim card when the media behaves that badly. I respect him more for speaking up and putting them in their place.

How she ask that question and not have in her notes where the source was or not be prepared for Trump to deny it was complete amateur hour.
There have to be middle school debate teams who could do a better job.

Wrong. He was fed up with the behavior of the mods, as was most of America at that point.

I wouldn't have expected someone to deny a fact that was on that candidate's website either. Unseen, is a bank of interns with computers in front of them searching to fact-check.

If you moderate a debate and don't expect a candidate to deny or spin a question and then look perplexed and ill-prepared when they do, it's time to consider another line of work.

How do you ask a question without knowing or bothering to write down where the source of it came from?

Utterly laughable.
