If Ryan is bothered by Obama "going around congress," wouldn't the fix be for congress to pass whatever reform they wanted.

IMO, this is nothing but a poorly veiled excuse for Ryan appealing to the hard conservatives without facing his own views as listed here: Paul Ryan on Immigration

Ryan is just another pandering political wimp who scapegoats.
So what. Our government is broken. The first priority is to try and fix it. Ryan won't be able to but I give him credit for wanting to unite the republicans

Kind of like how they blame Obama for budget issues when they are the one deciding spending.
Exactly. He's scared to propose anything.

Immigration reform will not be happening in the current climate. Obama has been using executive orders to "work around" immigration laws. Yes Paul Ryan supports immigration, but the GOP does not. Immigration reform will be happening when a republican takes the white house. And it won't be the "amnesty type"

Boehner took the immigration reform bill and refused to bring it up or debate, and it seems Ryan will continue the same path.

Immigration Reform = euphemism for Amnesty for Illegal Aliens.

Paul Ryan is right to block it.

It is within his authority, but his reasoning is not honest, because Obama came up with his stuff in response to GOP blocking the reform not the other way round.

We have immigration laws. You don't get to change them just because you want to.
