I don't know about the validity of the poll, but anyone who thinks America is the land of the free needs to get out from under the rock they live.

Land of the free...home of the world's largest prison population. Thank God President Obama is doing something to reverse that, although it isn't nearly enough.

"Fighting words", particularly when delivered in a face to face confrontation, are not considered protected speech in the United States, and can be (and have been) prosecuted as disorderly conduct. Such prosecutions may be more common in the UK and Canada, but the difference is in where the line is drawn, not whether a line is drawn.

Don't hassle the lemmings with unpleasant facts. They're too busy bashing America.

Canada is the Freest Nation in the World, Legatum Study Says

Both of my top two "dream destinations"[New Zealand/Ireland] rank far higher than the U.S.!
According to the same ranking index: The US is number 1 in the world in the Health category with Canada lagging way behind at 11.

Apparently you agree with this as well?

Just like the internet survey of "who is the most handsome guy in the world." " 50 most beautiful people in the world." Not legit, not newsworthy.

edit: What kind of "freedom"? economical freedom? I would vote for hong Kong, singapore, and New Zealand. Personal freedom, that depends. To me, the country provides the safest Environment (like you can walk around busy shopping district with money hanging around your neck at night) will be the "freest" country. but that is just me.
