Who cares? Just try again and again to inform the population and convince public opinion as gay marriage. 2004, 2008, 2012 and finally 50 states in 2015.

This vote was all about transgender rights.
Please tell me.. What "Rights" as afforded by the constitution do trans-gendered people not have?

This vote was all about transgender rights.
What rights? They have no right to invade the privacy of the opposite sex. NONE.
The majority of voters yesterday approved a bond issue making an office of LGBT Community Affairs a permanent agency of City Hall.
Also, there were three Pennsylvania State Supreme Court elections and the Democrats beat all three Republicans.
I don't know if that's something to be proud of. Realizing that the only win is when that office isn't needed, and knowing it will never go away because it's not been made permanent by a government agency. In other words, Philadelphia will in perpetuity be having to find problems in this area to justify everyone's jobs, whether they exist or not and no matter how insignificant they may be. And everyone will pay for it. Now add to that a special office for every other minority/marginalized group. Congrats.
The NY Times Editorial on this has got to be the height of overreacting and melodrama. They call everyone who voted against the ordinance a bigot who is full of hate and fear. They said transgender teens will now commit suicide over this. And then they invoked Jim Crow! Houston is a liberal, diverse city and has had a thriving gay community for awhile, aside from the thrice-elected gay mayor. It's not enough to spit on the rights of women and girls--I guess it never crossed the NY Times' minds that many gay women also want a right to privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms!

First paragraph. Pass a law that intentionally blurs gender boundaries with Coke goggles and a wide net so that an extremely violence-minded tranny might not end hir/zer life.
And readers here pay for "Digital Subscriptions" for that rot.

Oh great yet another hate filled biggotted anti trans thread . Don't you people ever get tired of hating other people.
Have any of you ever heard of a transgirl attacking anyone, anywhere? Go get a life and stop beating up on those weaker than you.
