Old ladies at the grocery store parking lot that like to walk right down the middle of the driving lane on their way into the store. Saw this a lot on vacation in Florida.
The video cam does not explain a thing unless there are locals laws which mandate the direction folks can walk in their communities. The street certainly isn't a busy thorough fare so what is the problem and why was she stopped? I don't have a clue whether this was racial profiling but It is NOT clear why she was stopped, unless it was just another power play by the police.
Did you watch the video? She was walking down the wrong side of the road with her headphones on. She didn't even hear the cop car drive up behind her. They stopped her for her safety.
To call it racial profiling is ridiculous. She's bundled up pretty good & therefore hard to tell what race she is. And it's possible that I missed it - but I did not hear/read/see that they asked for her ID to run a background check.... they asked for her ID to include it in their report. Standard procedure for any stop. Trying to be nice guys, looking out for her safety clearly. But at least her little stunt in the paper was disproved and exposed her for the racist she is.

You missed it at 2:52 - he calls it in and a minute later they clear her.

I went back and listened again. I can't find anyplace where they ran a background check and they certainly didn't do it at 2:52.
Can you be more specific about the background check?
