Irony much? Another cardinal sign of the progressive left--from NYT to Salon.com--is that it wants only one-sided conversation in its commentary.

My point was that liberal states have fat people too, a fact that bebOp seems to have missed.

Then explain what forces people to not want to bothered with putting forth the effort to get out of poverty or a minimum paying job? Wouldn't you agree this is the biggest problem in this country? Why don't people want to do what it takes to get ahead in life, so they can have nice things?

Why do those same people demand more of Big progressive leftist Government? Why do those same people demand more redistribution even though they're not cold, not hungry? Why do they demand their own living quarters when most of the world doesn't live that way?

Wow, that is, like, a really deep and well-reasoned observation right there. Seriously, you get a cookie.

NOTE TO MODERATORS: In the interest of accuracy, I have made certain that Mr. mm4's comments were presented in the order in which they were originally submitted.

Ok--I'll play. Extremist conservatism is a mindless, no-conscious mindset of expectations and delusions of control freaks.

Weak phrasing can't obscure the fact when many so-called "progressives" don't get their way, they often run whining to those in authority, seeking to silence, or blot out the thoughts and words of those with whom they don't agree.

That's a meaningless point to be making.

First of all, my plea to the mods was a joke. An unfortunate fact of those earnestly pushing conservatism is that they do not seem to have a sense of humor. It is a shame.

Second, how does your theory explain the House GOPs litigating every issue they have with the executive branch? Sounds like resorting to authority if they don't get their way. And "Note to Moderators" sure makes your post ironic.
