Full disclosure - I'm a Democrat and former smoker.

Paul Ryan has been complaining about having to detoxify his new office (which he took over from Boehner) of the smoke smell that permeates it. So one can only assume that Boehner was smoking in his office.

What I want to know is how was he legally able to smoke in a building that we, the taxpayers, pay for when NOBODY has been allowed to smoke in ANY public building for at least the last twenty years. Is it just another one of those things that politicians on the hill can get away with that the rest of us can't?

It's not about being a Republican or a Democrat, or being a smoker or non-smoker. It's about him doing something that put his colleagues in the office at risk while lighting up illegally over a period of many years.
Just kind of ticks me off.
