Its the overwhelming number of Latino migrants that irks me. I spent a year in the UK, and I met a lot of Scots that would like to migrate to the US because of the warmer weather and the fact that its an English speaking country. There is no path for Scots to come to the US at all (or for that matter for Western Europeans to come to the US) short of marriage or intracompany transfer. Most Europeans are not eligible for the green card lottery, and there is no 'path' for them to apply for legal status.
But if you come from Asia or Central America, somehow its ok when the Latino population is growing much faster than any other segment of the population including black Americans. ( I cannot speak to what is happening with Asian immigration)
I'd MUCH rather have English speaking people of ANY "race" who've got a similar culture coming here instead of most other people. Period.
Xenophobia doesn't plague this country. We are the most diverse, integrated society in human history.

Again, that isn't what xenophobia means, we have people of different races in this country too, yet we still have plenty of racism going on every day.
She also said "it's our time to migrate". Clearly she doesn't recognize the right of the United States to have a border and immigration laws.
Yes she doesn't recognize US borders and law, but every other country's borders and laws are fine. What's funny is Hispanics had their time to migrate. The AmerIndians prehistory and the mostly Spanish up till the 1800's. I guess to them once a colonizer, always a colonizer.

The US immigration policy is racist towards Europeans. The immigration policy favors Latin Americans, middle eastern and African muslim, and Asian. Basically anyone not culturally and ethnically European. I don't support mass legal immigration, but even if one supports 1 million legal immigrants a year, what justification could there be for demographic changing immigration ratios. What sense is to allow in predominantly culturally different and largely incompatible immigrants? Instead we bring in people who stick out like a sore thumb, as compatible as oil and water, and we support them with welfare to breed into the minority-majority and eventually majority.

Well, if you had your way, my parents wouldn't have gotten in at all. Fortunately, you don't make immigration policy. Sorry but you can't turn back the clock to pre-1965 days. Thank you for lending credence and support to urbanlife78's comments about xenophobia.

Zoe Saldaña did not hold back when asked about politicians making hard-line comments immigration that appear to target Latinos.
Speaking to Latina magazine, the Dominican-American actress said that she would say to those reluctant to accept the “Latinination of America:” “You can’t kill us. You can’t send us back."
"We are millions and millions here because it is our time to migrate," she said. "We are the youngest culture. We are doing what your people did. So shut up and just deal with it.”
Zoe: THAT kind of attitude will just make enemies out of more and more Americans. YOU earn respect: DON'T demand it because if you push us far enough, we WILL hit back and hit back HARD. Especially with the growing hate against the mostly Hispanic illegal aliens.
