I'd say Rubio and Cruz gained a few points and everyone else remained about the same. However, ANY of the candidates on that stage tonight would be lightyears ahead of Hillary.

Same he might have to be more controversial as Carson is gaining on him. I just don't see Carson receiving the nomination.

Charlie Gasparino says Bush (nervous) and Kasich (debate hog), the two who worked for banks, were the most incoherent on banks and my response would be, who in the general public would notice?

Seriously, I didn't see a lot of responses with plain talk so that the average person could understand how they'd make things better for Joe and Jane Taxpayer.

It dawned on me why I find Rubio's and Cruz' presentations to be distastefully robotic. Besides the bs "speeches" these two undoubtedly make on the Senate floor, their answers reminded me of a trial lawyer's closing arguments...which are in fact, speeches. I laughed at Rubio's closing.

John Kasich was obnoxious.

Fiorina was her usual strident self but she actually had good answers because Fiorina connects the dots for the audience.

If I had to pick a winner, though, I think SURPRISE it was Rand Paul just because, in comparison, he didn't sound like the other two phony baloneys in the US Senate.

Carson and Trump, no harm no foul.

The moderators asked good questions but they need to hook up an electric jolt at the candidates' podiums when they speak more than the time allowed. I would just ditch the big lead up to the actual question. That's the only criticism I think they'll get.

This could be Jeb's last appearance on the "adult" stage.

Oh God, yes. If I hear "a new American century" one more time I'm going to lose it.

I'd pick Rand Paul and Fiorina too. I don't agree with any of the candidates up there but I think these 2 won because they give reasoned and coherent answers and showed some level of knowledge. For example, Rand Paul talked about the no fly zone and that Russia uses it today for passenger planes so instituting one would be very difficult unless you are ready to shoot down civilian planes. That would never happen.

That's what I look for in the debates from both sides...reasoned and coherent answers backed with facts and realistic knowledge. Sorry...saying you are going to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it will get buzz but has 0% chance of happening. Repealing obamacare has a 0% chance of happening as long as democrats have some control. Those may sound like great talking points to get votes but they just won't happen. I don't understand why voters latch onto these guys who just spew nonsense.

The nonsense is saying they'll make the IRS disappear (Huckabee, Cruz). There is no way that will ever happen. Even if you get rid of the income tax and replace it with something else, somebody has to make sure the right amount is reported and collected, someone has to print the forms, write instructions and answer questions, someone has to enter and store the data and someone has to investigate tax schemes. The IRS has 4 tax divisions. Individual income tax is only one of them.
