Estimates of a administered deportation are in the $300bn+! That doesn't include the social cost, or the potential legal costs, geopolitical, reduction in GDP etc.. and it would take 20 years or more!!

Also - just to be clear: there is no evidence to suggest that illegal immigrants have driven down wages - in fact, all evidence points to a contribution to GDP. Plus, the claim that "illegals commit crime" is also unfounded. Only a fraction of those who commit crime are here illegally - almost all crime is committed by domestic residents.

Get your facts straight.

Fining companies that hire illegals, or not issuing DLs or cutting off any lifeline is one thing (even though the economics of such actions should be debated further), but what Trump is suggesting is something entirely different.
Ohh man this is dripping propaganda. Get a clue

No. Illegals have kids and get welfare and wic and free lunches. Illegals cost 100 BILLION a year. 1 BILLION just in los angeles county. This doesn't include the tens of billions they send out of the country.

Exactly and Trump knows this. He's no idiot. He just wants to get higher polling numbers and this rhetoric is working.

I know of people who have wives on both sides of the border, collecting welfare and other entitlements here. That does need to stop.

FBN Had the Top 4 Shows on Cable News

Fox Business Network ended up having the four most-watched shows on cable TV yesterday, as well as the second most-watched on all of TV (behind NCIS on CBS).

The main GOP debate at 9 p.m., post-debate coverage hosted by Neil Cavuto, the earlier debate at 7 p.m., and in-between debate coverage hosted by Lou Dobbs finished 1, 2, 3, and 4 Tuesday, among total viewers.
  • 7 p.m. ET debate (7 p.m. ET) | 4.7M total viewers / 866,000 in A25-54 demo
  • Lou Dobbs Tonight (8 p.m.) | 4.0M / 958,000
  • 9 p.m. ET debate (9 p.m.) | 13.5M / 3.7M
  • Cavuto: Coast to Coast (11:17 p.m.) | 5.3M / 1.5M
FBN even beat out sister network Fox News in post-debate coverage.

Welfare is administered by the states, and not all states even ask immigration status. And like another poster said, they get the benefits through their US-born children. Here you have Michael D. Antonovich, LA County Supervisor, plainly saying that illegals cost $1.6 billion in 2014 for his county alone, not including public education costs. These numbers are from the Dept of Public Social Services: Undocumented LA County Parents On Pace To Receive $650M In Welfare Benefits « CBS Los Angeles

Going to school and getting free healthcare is what they get out of it and that is HUGE for a non-American.

Why are you lying? Sure, technically, an illegal cannot get food stamps or welfare, BUT, what you aren't telling everyone is that if they have a kid, they can apply for those benefits in their kids name, and get them.

I think you are right on the money....

Problem is, the serious, informed voters have an overly inflated choice of candidates, and so the support from the educated voters is broken up and spread out over a wide margin, whereas the gullible vote is all concentrated behind one Donald Trump, making it look as though he is the frontrunner...

People better wise up, as in the Republican field better weed itself out. People like John Kasich and Chris Christie and potentially even Jeb Bush at this point, need to be realistic about their chances this time around and drop out so that the smart Republican base can rally around one real candidate. Otherwise, the gullible vote will decide who the nominee is, and we will lose this election sure as the sun will rise.
