That sounds like an open border to me, for the most part.
I know. Reagan made that mistake in 1986 and all it did was to encourage more illegals to come here. We now have at least quadruple the number of illegal aliens today. So perhaps the one you are replying to could explain how making the same mistake twice fixes the problem. As you said, when does it end? Do we just keep granting amnesty every 10 years or so? How is that a solution? He'll just side step the question though. It's what the pro-illegals do because they know they are full of it.

The fact of the matter is illegal immigrants tend to be overwhelmingly conservative leaning. They share very strongly the core values of the republican party: homophobia and theocracy.

So . . . What's behind it?

Baloney, Democrats are just as guilty of hiring cheap, illegal labor as conservatives are.

It ends when birthrates in Mexico drop to US levels.

Oh wait, that's already happened: https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF...ico+birth+rate

<Waits for the obligatory right-winger reply about how the numbers are fake>

What terrifies conservatives more--higher taxes for the rich, or raising wages?

I agree, no one in DC wants to go after those that hire illegals, which would solve much of this small problem that is going on, you know, the math, 11 million illegals compared to 320 legal Americans.
