It was clear during the debate that there are several approaches to the problem of both illegal immigration and illegal residence. But the liberals on this board want people to believe that Republicans only have one idea - the worst one, which is, "ship 'em all home"! It's nonsense, of course. Several candidates had better, more workable ideas.
That's why liberals will lose this time. Honesty and openness is just not in their game plan.
The problem is the conservatives' "solution" is utterly ridiculous and unworkable. Liberals came up with better solutions and the conservatives don't like it.

Nonsense... Liberals LOVE immigration of ANY kind, legal or otherwise. It's all about accumulating political power.
They don't necessarily have contempt for the laws, but have pity for the immigrants. I don't really see the point in explaining that further, seeing as I already did that. I explained exactly what the mainstream view of Democrats is; you asking the same question slightly reworded isn't going to create a new response.

For one thing they can affect elections, setting aside illegal voting the census includes everyone... even illegals. House seats and the electoral college is determined by population. Thus the presence of illegals can in fact have an impact on a states influence in the House and Presidential elections.
