Raise property and sales taxes so the people living in Chicago can pay their fair share!
It should be obvious to everyone Chicago is a town overflowing with deadbeats and it is time, well past time, that the residents be forced to pay their fair share.
It is because the govt employees have extreme benefits not available to the rest of us. In my county govt employees can acrue 900 hours of vacation time. That is SIX MONTHS paid time off. The Supervisors upheld it, because the govt union is power. So now they want to raise MY taxes, steal MY money to support their lavish lifestyles and pension plans.
OK, my flame suit is on, government employes, go ahead, give it your best shot about how asbused you are.
so again you are touting the 900 hours vaca time a employee earned
but that county worker ACCRUED (EARNED) (SAVED) that amount of vacation time over 15 years
he would have NO HOURS SAVED, if he CHOSE to take it as it was EARNED ( many people will do the 'dont feel like coming in on friday, so I will use a vaca day".....if you use it, you arent saving it
please don't try to spin it, that he got that in one year.... be truthful, not deceitful

I don't know what line of work you're in, but vacation time is most certainly available to "the rest of us."
No goalpost movement necessary. Krugman's theories simply haven't worked out. That's clear for all to see.
Then whyd you bring up other Nobel laureates?
Based on what? What are his theories first of all.....
