Well the backlash against Melissa Click was immediate and swift. She's apologized and resigned. I doubt she truly meant it though if you watch her smug comments to the reporter during the incident:
“I know, that’s a really good one, I’m a communication faculty and I really get that argument, but you need to go,”
Translation: I know damn well what I'm doing and what I'm supporting the students in doing is wrong but I don't care and we're gonna keep doing it anyway. Who needs freedom of speech when Mob Rule is so much more effective?
Progressive nutjobs on a liberal campus eating their own is a beautiful thing. Parents take note of the school flyers that arrive in your mailbox addressed to your snowflake. Be sure the toss the ones from indoctrination centers like this.

I don't think Melissa Click is old enough to call herself of the Hippy generation.
As for Jonathon Butler, the hunger strike guy, he's been attending the college for eight years and still hasn't gotten his degree. It can't have been too uncomfortable for him all those years or you'd think he would have transferred to a place he felt more welcome.
Guess I should have said from the generation.......you'd be surprised how many think the hippie generation is alive and well today. Many have know idea it was an era, who fought against government intrusion.

She didn't resign. She just removed herself from the journalism dept. She remais on the Communications dept faculty.
