Deteriorating relations between the Crusaders and their Christian allies in the Byzantine Empire culminated in the sack of Constantinople in 1204 during the Third Crusade. Near the end of the 13th century, the rising Mamluk dynasty in Egypt provided the final reckoning for the Crusaders, toppling the coastal stronghold of Acre and driving the European invaders out of Palestine and Syria in 1291.
Of course the wonderful actions of the "Christian" Irish Republican Army is excusable also, although yes that was about 20-30 years ago. Is that near enough in time to count.

Perhaps you'd like to actually use the right terminology. Russia was complicit in an illegal succession. Thus is was no annexation. per se. It is also transparent that the US is playing a game only it can win. It prints up billions of reserve currency to install puppets. Russia in this rare case had its own trump in that Crimeans are basically Russians. She was caught on the phone appointing Ukraine's ruler for God's sake. What does it take smell a rat? Eastern Ukraine was going to get worse than Paris , but for some reason many Americans just don't see reality. The Eat got it anyway but it would have made no difference over time. A cleansing was nigh . I mean of all times is now the time to suggest ethnic compatibility does not have value? Western Ukrainians were Nazi allies, and originally under the Habsburg sphere of influence. The East was always Russian.

Actually many of them have a point, it is sad what is happening in other parts of the world, but Americans should be more concerned about what is actually happening in their own country.

Let's face it, liberal Americans vote on stuff like social justice, gay marriage and legal pot. If we're going to address serious issues like the economy and national security were going to have do it by galvanizing conservatives to replace Obama with a Republican.

True, but what exactly is happening to those Mizzou students that warrants national attention? I mean other than they feel entitled to a free ride?

The main difference is they weren't screaming Jesuses name as they killed you. These guys are specifically killing in the name of thier Prophet. A true religious war.

The French citizens responded without fear, just as they should. If you are afraid of terrorists, they've done their job.
