Why won't BO say "radical islam"? (Congress, Taliban, conspiracy)

If one were to believe all the noise, Obama was not born in the US, is the the Anti- Christ, a Communist, Muslim, Fascist, Socialist, gay and the First Lady is a man. Did I miss an adjective/ attribute?
Some people dispense with all critical thinking when the propaganda seems to validate their preconceived notions.
These beliefs say more about those who hold such beliefs than anything else.
As do yours for attacking anything with your preconceived notions.

When idiots condemn Islam broadly, it can inflame moderate Muslims as well. It's a battle for hearts and minds. Making it Islam vs Christianity is the wet-dream for radicals. I'll take careful, measured leadership every time. Can you imagine Trump or Carson as president now? They would wage full on war. And afterwards, the middle-east would be so environmentally degraded that those refugees would be knocking on the doors of western nations tenfold, guaranteeing a permanent schism between the religions. And setting the middle east back further along with the affects of climate change.
I'm hearing way too much Hatfield and McCoy stuff from conservatives especially. It's like they've learned nothing in 15 years since 911!
This should be reposted on half the threads here. You nailed it perfectly. But neo-cons on this site will continue to let their hate of the president get in the way of common sense.

Well said. Unfortunately, no conservative in this thread will read or comprehend such a nuanced argument. Not when they can simply respond in knee-jerk like fashion to their hatred of the president instead. Witness their responses to the actual quote by the president, which pretty much stated what you said. They aren't interested in a common sense, big picture, don't give the terrorists what the want approach. Instead we get, he doesn't bomb enough! He is bombing too much! The sky is blue and it never used to be before Obama!
Seriously. What does he fear? Why can't he admit that it's radical islam that we're at war with? It's not radical Christians, Jews, Buddhists or Wickens. It's islam!
The first step to solving a problem is admitting there is one.
For fear of offending people who follow Islam.
Why doesn't he just ask those people, who he does not want to offend, to give him an acceptable name or phrase to describe these radical Islamic terrorists?

He calls them terrorists. That seems like the right term for them to me.

Who knows the real answer and not a one of us do, unless you are in Obama's head.
However we cannot solve a problem, if we cannot even call it what it truly is. You have to be able to talk about the truth of a matter, before solving it, but knowing firsthand what the truth really is staring us all in the face.
We no longer can be afraid of the truth, because those who have it in for us, could truly care less who we offend., this will not stop them from doing destruction and harm.
And he sure has no problem stating the truth as he see's it about things that should not even pertain to this situation.
While I can certainly agree with the sentiments about there being a difference between the radical element and the not so radical element, I think some do not realize or remember how fervently a very large portion of the Middle East CHEERED after 9/11.
How so many were chanting death to America while we were "brokering" a nuclear deal with them.
At least as far back as the Barbary pirate issue, some Muslims have been "mistranslating" the Qaran.
I certainly hope they are the minority, but I wouldn't bet my life on it, and that is essentially what is being asked of us.
He calls them terrorists. That seems like the right term for them to me.
He also calls American veterans terrorists. Does that seem "the right term for them" to you?
