1. Kill their leaders and they surrender? We tried that didn't work

2. Bomb them into total annihilation? Worked for WW II.

3. Troops on the ground? Failed in Korea, failed in Vietnam, not currently getting the job done in the Mideast.

Looks like number 2 is the only one that has worked and since Obama was the only president to order leaders killed I guess it's up to him to order the big one dropped.

Lot of tough talking Republicans on this board but how many are willing to sacrifice their children in a war that should be won by a country with the most sophisticated military equipment in the world.

The govt. has taxed the crap out of us for years building up their war machine so maybe now is the time to show their muscle. Not with troops on the ground but with $1,000,000 smart bombs.

We got em lets use em, all of them. Just don't send our children.

I am not a warmonger but if your gonna do a job, do it right. **** or get off the pot.

1. Cut their money supply, do not arm your enemies and future countries with terrorist groups.
2. A Terrorist is a tactic, not sure you can defend that. Its not a army, and or with a leader per say, with complete "territory goals"
3. Extreme mulism thinking will not die its a ideology, and a distorted religious view

Because on these things are you willing to give up your liberty for the illusion of safety.

Bomb them into near-extinction. As we did in WW2. Nazism and other forms of Fascism are barely around anymore. It's virtually extinct because we didn't fight PC wars. Time to do that again.

^^^ Works for me.

Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women... Conan.

Win their hearts and minds. LBJ (though he didn't originate it)

You kill a whole bunch brutally, they fear you and there is peace.

That is why it is said speak softly, but carry a big stick.

There are always good versions of people.
A vast majority of Chinese were good but they killed tens of millions of people.
A vast majority of Russians are good, but their bad guys also killed millions.
There are maybe 75% of Islam that might not be terrorist that mean nothing, because it is the 300 million in their minority that have been killing hundreds of thousand and will be killing millions if not fought eventually.

It's tough.

Wont work, WW2 etc was from a leader and a nation.. 4 muslims with guns do not need a nation leader or country to think and act.

IE individuals right now are in a house planning to attack and has nothing to do with a nation.

#2 was at a huge cost of Allied lives against Germany and still required boots on the ground. Against Japan there was less opposition to air attacks and the 2 nukes made the Japanese government surrender. ISIS however is not a legitimate government, it is an occupier, and will never surrender and lay down arms. Kill it in one spot and it will pop up in another.

You go after what you need to until the peaceful majority also bans and eradicates the violent minority.
That is what happened with Japan, Germany, Russia and so forth.

Allow Russia to arm Bashar as-Assad and let his army do the dirty work for us.

People in first world countries have gotten so used to being "safe" that they seem to have forgotten that there is still plenty of evil and power hungry people in the world. The only thing these people understand is strength and force. It is especially bad in countries that are not so developed, where the people are not so..."comfortable".

But the comfortable people of the world seem to think that a show of strength is, in and of itself, evil. Even in the case of protection and self preservation. They are always looking for reasons And formulating WHY these people hate us, when the reality is that they are primitive and tribal, and they would find a reason to hate us no matter what we do, as long as we are different than them. It has been that way for thousands of years, and many areas of the earth are STILL living in our warlike past

We will never win another war, unless we are once again under serious threat of losing our way of life. Only then will we have the stomach to do what it takes to win. And even then, I'm not so sure.
