If you believe that we should be accepting more Syrian and Iraqi refugees, I have an idea for you.

You should sign up for a national database that says "I agree we should be accepting refugees from muslim countries and I agree to house a refugee family in my home for 1 year until they get acclimated"

If you're not willing to accept those terms, then you're just posturing.

Not a good argument. We doesn't mean me. I can think we should build a bridge without thinking I should build a bridge. Even if I agree with your conclusion, your logic is faulty. I don't think we should house refugees because I think it's a permanent solution to what should be a temporary problem. It's like putting a bandaid over a bullet wound. You're never going to relocate all Syrians so it's better to help nation build than it is to take on a few families..who are then forced to adapt to a different culture here which is a whole different set of problems. I mean, what is a Syrian family going to do here? Language issues, education issues, employment issues...then they end up getting marginalized, feeling trapped, and all of a sudden they are radicalized and then what? I mean, the best thing that could happen is nothing and the worst is horrible. As opposed to just tackling the problem where the best thing that can happen is a functioning society that millions prosper from and the worst being nothing. You see? It just makes sense to just deal with it...

But no one likes to listen to me. Sigh..

Then you're a hypocrite. Because you're asking others to assume the risk that you're not willing to assume yourself.
