Well, if from Austin Texas; would it be safe to assume you have visited Mexico at least once in the last 15 years or so?

If so, given the amount of crime in Mexico general and the number of murders there per year; Paris will be a cake walk.......right?

My family members in Germany are some of the most loving people, they don't like the situation, but they know they have to live their lives. Plus, Germany is still the first world country for crying out loud. Terrorists won't destroy the country and the spirit. You are going to have a lot of fun.
Thats good to know! I am visiting the whole bavaria region and the entire berlin region! Berchestenden national park is my goal! Cant wait to hike there and visit the Eagles nest. I am a Wwii buff.. Also practicing my german ! lol

Hey kiddo; having used your common sense to survive Chicago what's the big deal with Paris? You already got all the tools in your bag you're going to need. Eyes and ears, eyes and ears.

My son took his wife to Paris on his honeymoon and when they went to a hotel that had a lot of Muslims around it, they started yelling at him and at his beautiful wife. He checked in, went online and found a better hotel at twice the price, booked the room and left and got yelled at again as they left. That experience did not make them want to return.

I own a vacation apartment in Marbella, Spain and have no problems there. I wouldn't visit Germany or Paris due to you don't know what's going to happen next due to the Muslim population in those areas. I also have concerns about visiting times Square or DC sites due to they're ISIS targets.

No. If you let terrorists change your plans, they have won.

Your classroom German won't help you much in Bavaria. That stuff they speak down there is practically its own language. They don't even greet each other with "guten tag" like they do in the rest of Germany.
