Rand Paul has proposed to cut off foreign aid and arms sales to all Middle Eastern countries that do not take in Syrian refugees, specifically Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Rand Paul: No More Arm Sales To Middle East Until They Start Accepting Refugees | Video | RealClearPolitics

I would go further and demand that Israel take in refugees or face the loss of their foreign aid and arms sales, too, but a presidential candidate in the US cannot say those things publically

There is considerable U.S. business at risk there. Military and Civilian. Does anyone expect the leaders of these countries to roll over?

Won't affect Saudi Arabia which is the big offender.

Another good intention with no meaning idea by Rand.

Time for him to stop running for President so real candidates can be asked more questions.

The problem is that Saudis don't receive foreign aid from US. Those countries are drowning in money.

Somewhat of an ignorant statement from Paul.

There shouldn't be arms sales to those countries either (including Israel)

When Trump drops out, then maybe it'll be time for Rand to drop out.

i don't think it's a bad policy

but it is hard to imagine a more hypocritical suggestion.. calling for the U.S. to reject refugees, while getting on your high horse and telling gulf states they should accept them.

They created the problem. They should pay.

If I was president those gulf states - and Israel - would either accept refugees or they'd find themselves looking for new leaders. It would be time to do an Allende or Diem on them

Oh, Goody another Jew Hater for today. Israel is paid to shop in the US so Israel will spend money in the US. Cut off Israel; BFD. Israel already purchases high dollar items from other countries. Basically you are anti-American also since these are Billions of dollars spent in the US which keep people in having jobs. Cut off the sales and watch unemployment soar. I'm pretty sure Russia & China will be glad to have the business.

Why should Israel take in Arabs when the Arab leaders of Fatah and Hamas have refused entrance of refugees into their areas??
