lol

Obama was trying to do the bare minimum and the right-wing went insane. We proposed taking like 10,000.

Turkey is taking 2 million, Lebanon is taking 1.1 million, Germany is taking 800,000+

Even Venezuela is taking in 20,000, double what we are. How do America's right-wingers develop such a skewed view of reality?

No, everyone. Bare minimum? You call the invasion of illegals and refugees the bare minimum? So delusional. Oh wait, not everyone, no Christians.

10,000 refugees is nothing.

And illegal immigrants have nothing to do with how many Syrian refugees America accepts. You're deeply confused if you think those groups are in any way related.

I love the internet.

Five people can say something...thanks to the internet, it goes 'viral'...and now it's "College Students say such and such nonsense thing - let's all berate them."

This is seriously getting old.

Did you even bother to read the article? "Believe it or now, Algadi was not alone in his opinionā€”a majority of student government representatives sided with him, voting down the resolution in a 36-23 vote this month." And you work with college kids? No wonder they're a bunch of idiot children with big mouths and no brains.

You underestimate the sensitivity of many college kids to offending anyone and the encouragement they get from offices of diversity and inclusion. The moment of silence resolution was defeated 36-23 by the student government. To his credit, the university prez reversed that decision.

I suspect that upon hearing their no vote was reversed, the 36 children went to their safe spaces to hug and console one another

Goes to show that a college education doesn't necessarily make one a smart person.

A majority of Americans oppose taking Syrian refugees. With so many right-wingers, I don't know how Obama won two elections.

Unfortunately, our president consistently knows better than our congress and our people.

As to whether or not America is right-leaning or not -- by standards of the western world, we are a far-right country. Our left looks like Europe's center. That's why our country is going into hysterics over this.

Tell it to the University of Minnesota student council.
