As a black police officer (LAPD from the 70's through the 90's), I can't tell you how many names I was called and how many insults I heard from other black people. I heard it far more often from them than I did whites. I have no respect for this group or these people.
Tried to rep you Ed from California, but it said I had to spread it around. It's actions like this that cause people who might be starting to listen to what BLM is saying to not take them seriously at all. Screaming, insulting, in some cases destroying are only going to cause people who might be willing to help make a change to turn around and walk the other way, writing BLM off as another hate group.

Without police society will fall apart.
If there were no black police, those same people taunting you would most likely complain about that.
99% of cops are good people doing a difficult, dangerous, and stressful high stakes job.

First: Thank you for serving your community!
I did want to ask you if you felt that these groups were simply trying to provoke any response as an excuse for lawless behavior? While you were out trying to save lives and defuse confrontations, my feeling is, that there are many that look forward to the next free gizmo or drugs they can lift in ensuing rioting. I also think there is an element that wants no police presence - even though there are many more deaths and crimes at the hands of their own.
I would not want to be in your shoes; I am not envious of any police officer's job. You don't have any choice; you have to be there, regardless of the weather or protesters and you see the worst part of society.
Sorry Ed from California to hear this is going on and probably even got worse over the last 6 years as I have seen this Countries racism being at an all time high.
The one thing I expected not to happen occurred which is people not coming together but racism being very high amongst one groups which is the entitlement group.
I don't see it amongst other groups.
Even in our business if we deny a tenant the racism will be brought up instead of their lies on an application and/or extremely bad credit, etc. We offer conditional approvals for bad credit but that is what some call racism but for us is to protect the owner.
It is only one group who uses that and we have renters of all colors and backgrounds.
When we moved here we noticed the respect the cops were getting which was the total opposite of how cops are treated in Europe where cursing and insulting cops seems to be allowed. Everything seems to be a copy of Europe so I know what a mess it will be and how sad it will be to see this beautiful country change into a welfare state.
