Even IF the 97% were true, and it's been widely debunked, all they are "agreeing" on is that man affects the environment. What they DON'T know is :
  • How much?
  • How bad it is? I tend to doubt it's the catastrophe the alarmists keep yelling about.
  • How much do natural forces factor in?
  • Do they really understand the climate and all it's variables to trust computer models that so far have had an abysmal track record?

There IS no agreement or consensus about the questions above.
When you hear this 97% consensus crap, they are conflating the fact that AGW exists along with the rest of these questions, as if we had certainity about them. We don't.

Consensus is in the realm of politics, not science. Politicians and governments seek consensus.
Science WELCOMES and THRIVES on skepticism and asking questions.
Skepticism and questions are anathema to cults and religions which is precisely what this movement
has become.

They seek to shut down skepticism and debate while they demonize and attempt to marginalize anyone who disagrees with them.

When people shout 97% or 99.999% in your face, make no mistake about it, what they are really saying is :
"don't think for yourself or ask any questions, it's futile, we have this massive majority on our side "
It's just another tool meant to shut people up and stifle dissent.

This is true;

Nearly six in ten climate scientists don’t adhere to the so-called “consensus” on man-made climate change, a new study by the Dutch government has found. The results contradict the oft-cited claim that there is a 97 percent consensus amongst climate scientists that humans are responsible for global warming.

There are South Sea island fishing villages that are relocating at considerable expense and energy to higher ground or even moving to different islands altogether. Why? Because rising sea levels will make their villages unlivable. These people live at a Bronze Age level of sophistication. They do not understand spoken or written English. They are immune to Al Gore's propaganda. But they know that Climate Change and its attendant effects on our environment are real. Jesus wept. It is enough to give an intelligent person a migrane. Just how much more do you need to see or hear to be convinced? My guess is nothing would convince you. As long as doing anything about Climate Change costs your 1% Masters of the Universe one penny they will be against it, and so will you. Your children will hate you for this. Elder abuse may become a real problem in coming decades.

How many people were affected by the presence of ocean life within incorporated Kansas?

It doesn't matter though. We're way too late to do anything to stop global warming. What happens will happen. Some areas will benefit and others will be hurt. We will adjust to a new reality. However, it would make sense to learn to live with less simply because we may find that less is available in the future. What is certain now is that the oceans will rise and climates will change. No one knows how they will change though. All we know is on average the globe will be warmer. That doesn't mean it will be warmer everywhere. The wind patterns that drive weather systems will change.
