It matters because you can address focused threats, but threats that just come out of nowhere cannot be tracked.

While YOU may want to believe that ALL Muslims are your enemy, it is a logistical impossibility to wage war on a religion followed by billions of people globally. If you can identify a "pipeline" of extremists from an organization like ISIS, you can disrupt that "pipeline", by hacking into their communications, by interfering with their cash flow, by targeting specific persons involved in the organization. Moreover, there is international cooperation available in the focused investigations and prosecutions of ISIS, which is a tremendous advantage. If Russia and the United States and China all share in the goal of rendering ISIS powerless, then that teamwork makes that goal more achievable.

By the way, when it comes to this shooting; our special 'first response' teams were having drills only one mile away from the crime scene. The attackers still escaped before the teams responded. Our Country waste millions training people that cannot be everyplace and all of the time. Out of all of the school shootings and mass murders our police are usually not there until it is too late. Of course it doesn't take long to unload magazines at helpless people. But we're training the wrong people; we should be training the law abiding, innocent, civilians that are where these crimes are being committed.

Of course we still need our police to pickup the pieces and bring order to the chaos.
Encourage all to carry automatic weapons and undergo active shooter response training?

What could possibly go wrong, every day?

The obvious problem with the "arm and train the law abiding people" argument is the fact that until few days ago, even Faruuq was a law abiding citizen. Thank god he was not better trained, or else he would have killed more. It seems there was a lot of unused ammo on him. Pretty much every criminal and terrorist was once a law abiding citizen somewhere.

These two were communicating with known terrorists already being watched on social media and by telephone and still slipped through. So much for your theory.

No doubt anyone who finds themselves in the middle of an active shooting feels terrorized, regardless of the motive of the shooter (s).

25% of the world population identifies as Muslim. Most have not been radicalized. Most have never set foot in the Middle East.

FBI protocol is to secure the door when they are done with their search. They leave a copy of the search warrant and a list of seized property and turn the property back over to the tenant or the property owner. At that point the person who has an interest in the property can remove the plywood and enter the premises. I know, it sounds weird that they would release it so soon, but it appears that they did.

"When Mashable reached out to the FBI while the scene was simultaneously unfolding on live television, a spokesperson seemed shocked when asked if the public was allowed to enter the apartment. "I do not believe so, but I can check," she said around 9:30 a.m. PT. "My understanding is it is still an ongoing investigation." An hour later, Lourdes Arocho, spokesperson for the FBI Los Angeles field office, told Mashable: "The search is over at that location." When pressed for further comment, she repeated the statement and referred to a press conference scheduled for 11 a.m. PT."

Default INSIDE the party killers' home

With photos of both killers!

The landlord of the San Bernardino husband-and-wife shooters invited members of the media to tour their rental home in Redlands, California, this morning - just as it has emerged that Tashfeen Malik posted a pledge of allegiance to ISIS and its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, shortly before unleashing a deadly attack on a holiday party Wednesday.

A bit surprising nobody secured or bagged everything in the site.

Rubio, Democrats and Graham can really all go to hell. Send them to their houses.

The garage is not attached And was not made available for viewing.

CNN is reporting LE is incredulous the owner let the media and general public in. Earlier reports said a man out walking his dog walked in and a mother and her infant was checking it out.

A brief clip of him shows the owner, bewildered and likely overwhelmed by the situation and media. He has reportedly been picked up and the housing unit closed.
