I don't think you understand the circumstances if you think financial corruption and collusion is the result of one party.

It starts at the top-The Federal Reserve. Political parties really have nothing to do with it-Republicans and Democrats are one in the same on all the issues that actually matter, and will do the bidding for nationless corporations protected and enabled by the Fed. Our political system is really more of an illusion of power-the real power lies with the Federal Reserve-their protected banks and corporations-and the privately owned and controlled USD.
This is absolutely true.

Thank you. The acting was terrible, the plot was riddled with holes and it was supposed to be based on the FANTASTIC book which it barely resembled.

I highly suspect Pitt and his clown brigade had everything to do with ruining the movie and the story.

Agreed way too many bad loans. But that is a symptom. After the fact.
The cause was congress passing bills like the no down payment left behind bill that led to the bad lending. If Congress didn't try to revive the economy because their previous bubble, the dot com collapse, this would not have happened. Congress nor we the people don't learn.

The 3% down payment and no FICO score required loans the GSEs started buying to meet HUD affordable lending goals began in the 1990s, before the dot com collapse. That's all been documented in previous threads.
