I support strict gun laws that prevent dangerous people from owning guns. I also support lenient gun laws that allow safe people to own guns. What I don't support are Executive Orders that do either.
what part of shall not be infringed do you and other gun grabbers not understand? try reading and understanding the second amendment sometime.
Read that back again and include the "well-regulated militia" part that the NRA refuses to post in their headquarters. Then read Warren Burger's thoughts on it, or even the 2008 Heller decision that still gives the government the right to regulate guns.
His move won't impact me as I only buy from a dealer. I would like to see the statistics that show mass shootings are committed by people who bought their guns by using this alleged loophole. This is basically pandering and show boating. Obama never misses an opportunity to use a crisis to further his agenda. Sadly he never seems to be able actually focus on what the real issues are or what the majority of us want.

Excellent move. We can't rely on an irrational GOP-controlled Congress to do what's right. EXECUTIVE ORDERS are an under utilized tool to get things done, and do what's right. Yet another wise decision by our President.
"Executive Orders" are not to be used to make law. That is an abuse of power. Executive orders only apply to government body's policies (if used correctly), they do not apply to non-government agencies or private individuals.
Congress must be involved for Obama to make changes to any laws or so-called "loopholes" in any law. He does not have the authority to do these things on his own. That is called "Separation of Powers."
There is no "gun show loophole." People who buy guns at gun shows still must go through the same procedures as when purchasing at a shop. There is no difference.
Kudos to the Republicans for blocking the President's efforts to interfere with our Second Amendment right to bear arms.
The President must take full responsibility for what happened in San Bernardino on Wednesday, because of his failure to take action against Islamic terrorism. Guns are not the problem. Islamic terrorism is, and it is Barack Obama who is allowing these terrorists into our country. It must be stopped.

You mean every white male ( now ever male thanks to the 13th amendment ) between 16 and 60 are required to own and bring a military weapon to the militias gatherings?

I agree completely, it is his job to keep Americans safe. However, I would like to see the statistics he is using that drives this move.

My point is that maybe he should focus on the gangs. Far more people die every year to Gang violence than to the occasion nut job who bought a gun.
