Russia has strict gun laws too, and far fewer Blacks than the USA. Russia has a higher suicide rate than Japan, one of the highest rates of alcoholism in the world, and a murder rate more than twice as high as the USA. Russia at one point had murder rates as high as the 30s' per 100,000.
Removing the ability for all people to prosper, has a way of keeping starving people on edge, with nothing to lose.
Frequently, it's a way of shortening an excruciatingly painful end stage of life when one has a terminal disease. We make the humane decision to put a pet down when quality of life is lost. Why shouldn't people be able to make that humane decision for themselves?
It's interesting so many on the Right here are defending suicide statistics relative to gun ownership. So much for Christian values.
Most suicides in the US via gun have nothing to do with terminal illness, and everything to do with economic and mental health problems. It's not some kind of noble, rational choice... it's a disease pathology. Those of us with a more reasonable worldview are interested in causality, not ideology. If owning a gun is correlated with suicide, it stands to reason to ask "why" and those of us with conscience, to ask "What can be done about it?"

You can talk about them both. However it is estimated that about 26,000 white males kill themselves annually. That's a high enough figure that merits a national debate. The majority of those deaths are by firearm. That's tragic.
So it's tragic that the majority of those suicides are by firearms? Are you implying that it would not be tragic if they were by other means?

What would you prefer to be the 2nd leading cause of death in that demographic? The disingenuousness is in your writing. If you want to ban guns just say so.
So you're pointing out that us blacks are a more violent race of people on the average.
A lot of blacks feel disrespected when this is pointed out, but I'm not one of them because it's true unfortunately. It's why I live in a white neighborhood.
It's one of those things that I wish could change, but I know that it never will. We're just wired differently. Studies have shown that we have more testosterone. People like to pretend that doesn't make us less rational at times, but it's silly to think that it doesn't factor into our behavior.
You're not black. You're a troll.
The majority of the world's homicides take place in Latin America.
Despite being 8% of the world's population, 33% of the world's homicides take place in Latin America.
But yet I don't see you commenting on how Latin Americans are such a violent people only black Americans who aren't even the majority of black people in the world.
The homicide rate among the whites is about the same as in the Western Europe.
The homicide rate among the blacks is on Africa levels.
All of the gun control debates always concentrate on legally owned guns.
Latin America has a much higher homicide rate than Africa, btw.
