The history of US/Iran relations isn't very pretty for the US Government. Overthrowing Democratically elected leaders, propping up brutal Dictators and religious zealots. Our Federal Government often seems like a rogue Government overseas, murdering thousands in The Middle East, Latin America and Asia. It is truly sickening.
Maybe the concept of "blowback" is 100% accurate and we should stop allowing our Government to constantly meddle in the affairs of other nations, using our tax money to blow up entire regions and rebuild them-with private contractors/no bid contracts overcharging everything no less.

For those of you who think what Carter did is exactly what Trump is calling for - put on your thinking caps. Carter's ban on Iranian immigrants DID NOT INCLUDE anti-shiite or anti-Khomeini refugees and it also allowed those in that had medical reasons. Soooooo (keep those thinking caps on), if Trump would do like Carter - then he would allow Muslims in who have a health reason and those who are anti-ISIS. Yay! Even though he is proven wrong again, Trump is proven right!!!! Yay!!!
