The Constitution only authorizes a Navy. The Army is a temporary group, not more than 2 years at a time. But , the Army has been kept the whole time for obvious reasons.

Well yeah because we had most of our wars last more than two years. I can only think of the Spanish-American, World War 1 and maybe the Texas-Mexican war lasting less than two years and it is silly to reconstitute the army every two years during times of war. It can be argued in tunes if peace, that could be done but that opens the Pandora's box of potential attacks.
Where in the US Constitution, did We The People, allow them the government to Keep & Bear arms?
Remember, there was to be no standing armies, like we have today. Remember long ago, it was the states, that trained and sent people into battle for the nation. The New York 21st Regiment? The Alabama 2nd Battalion? Texas 12th Infantry.
We The People, told them the government, we are the army.
Do you really think we could get along in the world the way it is today without a full time standing army thats constantly training and drilling?

I think Bent Bow is a VERY strict construction follower of the constitution. The problem with strict construction is intents and interpretations change over time. Take for example state militias as written in the 2nd amendment were basically dissolved after the events of the Civil War to prevent similar conflicts from happening. The other thing is when people are strict construction followers of the Constitution, they then have to know that they are allowed guns but only to be used in a non-existent state militia or hunt purpose, not some good guy with a gun myth.

We the people had nothing to do with the constitution. It was written by a few men.

You need to go explain all this to the Supreme Court, because they have consistently disagreed with you.

When and where. Also some were eventually overturned by later courts like say Plessy v. Fergeson with Brown v. Board.
