How are you going to do that?
  • What great invention have you thought up and want to patent?
  • What kind of capital do you own that you need to hire people to put it into productive use?

And why do we want "jobs" anyways? The slaves had jobs, and it wasn't such a good deal for the slaves. Maybe you figure out how to create an economy where we don't have to work as much.

People with jobs have less poverty and commit fewer crimes. Jobs are the only lasting solution to world hunger and poverty.

The best way for a politician to increase jobs is to get out of the way. Remove barriers and the free market will create jobs.

LOL. Remove barriers, and the "free market" will create jobs is a great slogan. Barriers like what? The EPA? Ever been to China? thats how you get China.

Reduce taxes on the rich and loosen regulations on business and job creation wil explode. How many times have we heard that? Why didn't it work? Sure some regulations need to be revised, but don't expect this explosion.

With regard to Donald Trump,l and his plan to create jobs, even though he has not given any specifics as to how he intends to do it, I have one theory he may use.

Under president Hoover ( I think it was him,but it may have been another president , not sure) there was a program that was called the WPA.
That program put people building roads, bridges, railroad tracks, airports etc.
I believe Trump will revive that program, putting hundreds of thousands of people to work.
He has stated in some of his speeches that the roads, bridges, and airports are in deplorable condition.

Taxes collected from these workers will be used to pay for the projects.
That is just one plan, and I am sure he has others.

Bob.

No, China is Big Government. It's not free markets. It's government controlled markets.

Try again.

Production is everything, and jobs are nothing but a means toward that end.

So in theory, Work must be rationed, not created, the market can create the most product possible out of the limited supply of labor, capital goods, and natural resources.

People should only be happy when they learn that this employment will produce things people actually value. For example, are willing to buy with their own hard earned money. and this is something that can ONLY be done in the free market, not by bureaucrats and politicians.

The free market, of course, does not mean Utopia. We live in a world of differing intelligence and skills, of changing market preferences, and of imperfect information, which can lead to temporary, market-generated unemployment. And some people choose unemployment by holding out for a higher paying job.

The path to jobs that matter is the free market.
