I bet you would love that but this isn't your imaginary America. The POTUS is the head of the executive branch and the Secretary of Defense serves at his pleasure. Obama may dismiss or reappoint the head of the DOD at will...

Attn: Pentagon employees, Obama (code name "Jellyfish") will be making a promotional visit today in an attempt to boost his image. While we realize this is a joke and no one really cares, please try to keep a straight face if you happen to run into him during his short visit.
