Now that we've failed in our ability to avoid this catastrophe, let's at the very least attempt to minimize the most inevitable coming economic, political, and environmental disaster looming ahead.

It's quite obvious that the 20 million new healthcare recipients will soon lose many of their existing benefits. It would have been much better to amend OBAMACARE, rather than to dismantle it entirely. Also, to cut taxes in the face of infrastructure rebuilding is just plain ludicrous. This is especially true when considering the added expense of healthcare and educational cost reductions for poor Americans who have lost their middle class status over the course of the last 2 decades. NAFTA has to be addressed. Educational costs and their subsequent financial burdens must also be addressed. We also need to redesign both our elementary and secondary educational systems.

Finally, we absolutely must redesign our cities in a way that the American population can better convert and utilize energy in a more environmentally advantageous manner. We must clean up both our global air and oceans. The Greenhouse gas effect is real! It's just a matter of time before all nations will realize just how significant it's effect will become. Let's do it for all of our human descendants, if not for ourselves!

Come on Bernie! Let's Go!

You are speaking to a forum full of users, 75% of which are scientifically illiterate and also voted for Trump.

You won't find any fertile ground here, just parched, dusty, rock hard clay.

Did you know that if the Republicans had lost the Senate, Bernie Sanders could have become the Senate Budget Committee Chairperson?

sorry but Bernie, and the other far left liberals have never put forth a viable solution to anything that you have posted

1. there are still 40 million people WITHOUT health insurance

2. secondary schools (ie a place to get your education for your possible future career ) should not be free...making it free only DOWNGRADES the value of this education for your life betterment

3. the freetrade agreements (ie nafta in her 26 sisters, to include Senator Obama's OFTA( and president Obama's TTP)) need to be REPEALED.... freetrade is unobtainable without everything being equal (ie wages)..and its the globalists (liberals) that have been pushing the freetrade agreements

to make it simple I will use this example:
Quote:
nafta and all her sisters(freetrade agreements) did just that...sent jobs overseas

today we are getting killed by all these 'freetrades'

the freetrade movement started in the 70's and has been chugging alongs, pushed by carter, by bush1(as vp and potus), bush1 even negotiated nafta, pushed by nafta signer clinton, and bush2, and obama

you can not have "freetrade" when the costs of living (and manufacturing (to include wages, property taxes, and even utilities) are so uneven

have you ever owned a business....you make ECONOMIC DECISIONS based on SMART MOVES

example:
you NEED a warehouse for your product (not a showroom where location, location, location is a factor)
nassau county you can get a 2,000,000sf warehouse that will cost you 30k a month
suffolk county you can get a 3,000,000sf warehouse that will cost you 20k a month.....

where do you think you are going to go for a warehouse.........Suffolk if you are smart, costs less and gives you room to expand

GE (an American company)(makes alarm clocks, lightbulbs, etc) it is CHEAPER for GE to make(assemble) an alarm clock in mexico and SHIP it to the USA than it is to make it in the USA(why...costs....wage costs, utility costs, land costs...and CORPORATE TAX COSTS)

you want jobs to come back to the USA...then we need to make it MORE costly for them to ship their product IN than to make it here....lower or even better ELIMINATE the corporate tax..and install import tariffs

one of the biggest problems is taxes to begin with

and not enough import tarrifs, to curb the cheapness of importing into

think about it,,, you have a business, and need to open a ware house:

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with a high CORPORATE tax rate or a low tax rate

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with a high PROPERTY tax rate or a low tax rate

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with a high INCOME tax rate or a low tax rate

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with high COST OF LIVING (housing costs, etc) or a low COL

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with a high wage expectation, or a low

do you open a warehouse in a city, county, state, or country with high utility rates or lower rates

bet you say low for all those questions

the freetrade agreements (there's like 26 since nafta) nafta/cafta and senator obamas OFTA (freetreade with oman) is what has caused over 55 million jobs to go overseas

ALL should be repealed
4. climate change IS REAL...but it is natural...not man made........does man abuse our wonderful earth...yes...........does man litter and pollute our wonderful earth..yes............does man waste and abuse the natural resources..yes......... but man is not the reason for the cylinical natural climate change...our contribution of CO2 is about 1-3%

yes and solar is the answer...not wind

but again..why hasn't one liberal or 'environmentalist' suggested this:
Quote:
if the stupid liberals actually wanted to, they could have done it back in 2008/9/10

solar has come a long way, and is quite efficient now, ((still has a long way to go, especially in the 'shelf life' of panels and batteries)))

did you know the DoD (military) has come up with a paintable solar...ie solar in a spray can... a can of spray paint (looks more like undercoating) and you can produce some energy.... still in the works, but looks good
http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_repo...rayonsolar.jsp

wind is the one that is NOT efficient and actually costs more to produce

I wish the liberals instead of spending 1.5 trillion on an unstimulating stimulus, and bailing out failed companies, would have said..lets spend that trillion+ dollars and put a solar electrical system on each and every single family home...this would have saved the average American home owner 200-500 dollars MONTHLY and would have eliminated the need for ''residential electric utility companies" and would have lowered our need of coal/fossil fuel for home energy.......once that program was complete, then look to expand to commercial properties .... this would have truly been a '''shovel ready''' job and put millions of construction contractors to work during the recession....... but alas the liberals aren't really interested in saving the economy or taking care of the middleclass...all the liberals are interested in doing, is lying to the populas and lining their pockets.

imagine if our liberals(who say they are for the environment ) had been smart enough to actually use that idea...every home in America would now be part of the energy grip producing energy...every home in America would be free of the municipal utility bills hitting them for 200/300/500+ a month for electric

not one politician (from either party) made even a remotely similar suggestion

and please don't say 'big oil' was against it....most ELECTRICITY is produced by COAL...and NUCLEAR..., and HYDRO.....no electrical power plants are oil run
why didn't Hillary, Pelosi, Bernie, Obama, Biden or any of the other career politicians suggest this

Legal immigrant woman here with a Masters in Electrical Engineering & who voted for Trump. So did many others like me with real "jobs" who got tired of picking the tab for the dumb freeloading idiots. If we were so illiterate then how come 75% of these threads are about debating & brainstorming ideas on these forums. Whereas liberals had to hire celebrities & tv channels to promote themselves because the liberal voters believe whatever is on tv & dont even bother to read, question or research facts. They eat up whatever their favorite celebrity & cnn feeds them. Look at how liberals are rioting now & behaving like real illiterates. Conservatives did not riot like this when Obama was elected twice. We even voted for him. Our loyalty is towards the country, not any particular party, person or race. Our job is not done yet. We will keep pushing for progress & improvement rather than be big cry babies & throw a tantrum if we dont get our way.

Bernie Sanders of 2016 was the George McGovern of 1972.

If Sanders had made it onto the November ballot his defeat would have resembled the trouncing McGovern took in 1972 .
