You bet there's a difference.
One is free speech, and as stupid or silly as it might be, no one is likely to be hurt or die as a result.
The other pertains to terror recruitment and radicalization of individuals, in the intent of causing mass murder.
Why would social media execs shut down the former but not the latter?

they do but as usual facts have no place in a CD discussion

Sorry, hate speech is not free speech. A very important lesson Germany has learned from the 1930's.

Seems that way doesn't it! Anti ISIS could be viewed as Anti Muslim.

No, it's not "the left" in Germany. There is broad consensus in Germany that hate speech is not free speech. If you threaten to use the firing squad on the german political establishment or you threaten to set asylum shelters on fire you will be dealt with legally in Germany.

Refusing a public debate on migration will only benefit Far-Right in Germany. Germany’s official response of shutting down the debate and wishing for it to go away, might come at a heavy price.

Bringing in refugees is sticking its nose into other countries' business. It's choosing sides.

That is what Hillary says she wants the tech giants to do here. She calls it fighting terrorism, but I think we all know it's to silence dissent.

Default Germany kills freedom of speech

It appears that the political correctness squad is doing everything it can in order to alienate as many people from it as possible and insure more support for the far-right.

Germany is putting an end to hate speech on the Internet - CNET

And what do they think they will accomplish with this? They think that once the progressive horde starts censoring people on the internet that people magically wont' hate them anymore? Do they honestly think this won't just backfire horribly and make people even angrier than before? What are they thinking?
