No, a post here somewhere indicates that the material in question (the worksheet) was generated by a group of teachers, presumably social sciences. I think that VA DOE would have reviewed the material, and approved it, but that's just me. I haven't drilled down through the detail to make sure that's true.

The Virginia DOE does not generally approve or disapprove worksheets made by teachers. More likely it was material worked on in a county school system, or even within a school.

Because copying Arabic writing can get everyone an "A".
Finding places on a map is too hard and not fair because everyone can't be a winner.
This is a travesty. The Christian God is weak and must be protected from the powerful Islamic god who can convert the measly faith of Christians with a few scribbles on copy paper.
