Of course they should. If someone has the same skill, education, personality they should receive the same benefits if they are a man, woman, white, black, orange.
What I don't agree with is hiring someone that is not qualified simply to fill a mandated quota.
It should always be the best man or woman for the job and pay should equal skill, talent and experience etc..
Should men and women be paid the same by their employer if they have the same duties in a company?
Don't get me started on corporate greed. Of course women should be paid the same as men.
I'm a guy talking to you other men out there. In this era of the disposable employee, it is in your best interest for your wife to make all that she is worth if something happens to your job.
Even if one does support it, how can one enforce it? There would be so many variables that it would be very hard to enforce. What could happen instead, many may find their pay decrease instead.
Even a union pay structure that focuses on degree earned and years worked like public union teachers, women make 91% of what men make. Why? Women are more likely to take a whole year off when they have kids then men, which sets them back a year on the pay scale. Men are more likely to get the masters degree. Men are more likely to work extracurricular activities.
