Basically any time you hear the word "phobia" it's a member of the left and/or the politically correct attempting to shame you into adopting their views by essentially saying there is something wrong with you if you don't.
Tired of hearing about Caitlyn Jenner or don't think men dressing in women's clothing belong in the ladies room or women's showers?
You must have transphobia!!
Do you think marriage should be between a man and a woman?
You must be homophobic!!
Don't want tens of thousands of refugees from the middle east who can't be properly vetted and may carry out terror attacks on our soil?
You are Islamophobic!!
This is nothing but an attempt by the left to shame those into adopting it's ideology lest you be accused that there is something wrong with you, you have some sort of phobia.
What the left and the politically correct need to learn is that when people disagree with them it isn't because they have an irrational phobia or they "need to be educated" in order to form the correct opinion
(Which is always the left's opinion)
The left and the politically correct need to learn to listen to and consider other points of view.
It's so enigmatic trying to understand why liberals don't get and continue to excuse the supremacy, genocide, mysogyny, perverse violence, and fascism behind Islamic ideology.
A discriminating mind would be my guess. The ability to look at complex ideologies, social histories, and the context of contemporary social movements.
Quote:
Clinton spent five minutes on the debate expressing deep concern about backlash toward Muslims,
A whole 5 minutes! Outrageous! God knows we would want a political leader to head off more violence!
It's easy. Those who accuse others of Islamophobia are suffering from Truthophobia. (Yes I made that word up a month or so ago, and I like it.)
Hillary referred to The Donald as a great recruiting tool for ISIS. She meant that as an insult, when it is really a compliment. ISIS knows that if Hil wins, they have won, and if Trump wins, they lose.
A discriminating mind would be my guess. The ability to look at complex ideologies, social histories, and the context of contemporary social movements.
[1] My point is that Islam is no exception.
Despite whatever preconceived notions you have, many Muslims are not so literal minded.
I've met a lot of intelligent people in my life and not a single one was literal minded. Of course if you take the Koran literally, the results will be disastrous. Luckily, not everyone does.
[2] Just as not everyone is an Orthodox Jew (which if you know anything about, you'd know the OPs point saying 'no religion calls women inferior' means he's not literate on this particular subject in the slightest).
[1] You are mistaken. Islam is an exception in that it advocates both evil and good without making a distinction. Even lying is considered good, if it advances Islam. There is no "Golden rule" in Islam. Muslims are admonished to only be good to fellow Muslims, not Kafirs.
(See Sinna's challenge)
[2] And if you're going to misquote the o.p., don't use quotations.
"No other religious ideology teaches the inferiority of women..." is not synonymous with "no religion calls women inferior."
Gender differences notwithstanding, it is a questionable practice to persecute / execute a woman who is a victim of rape, and not her assailant(s).
Most religions teach ideals that protect women from evil men. Non-Muslim culture tends to place the woman's right to life to be superior to men's. (Ex: "women and children first into the lifeboats")
In Islam, using women as human shields, sex slaves, or worse, is considered moral. In Islam, a woman's life is inferior to the man's life.
And it is even worse, if she's a Kafir (infidel).
“The Koran teaches fear, hatred, contempt for others, murder as a legitimate means for the dissemination and preservation of this satanic doctrine, it talks ill of women, classifies people into classes, calls for blood and ever more blood. Yet, that a camel trader sparks uproar in his tribe, that he wants to make his fellow citizens believe that he talked to the archangel Gabriel; that he boasted about being taken up into heaven and receiving a part of that indigestible book there, which can shake common sense on every page, that to gain respect for this work, he covers his country with fire and iron, that he strangles fathers, drags away daughters, that he leaves the beaten a free choice between death and his faith: now this is certainly something that no-one can excuse, unless he came as a Turk into the world, unless superstition has stifled any natural light of reason in him. ” - - - Voltaire (1694-1788) Translation by SIMONXML from “ISLAM – Dem Untergang geweiht” by Thomas K. Luther, p.24.
What's not to like about a "Religion" founded by terrorism?
This .
A cult started by a pervert who bangs a six yr old in the name of a marriage and marries his own surrogate mom on top. Then demands the dirty violent cult be spread by sword. Hmmm how charming
Mr. Kelifa, the African asylum seeker, said he still had a hard time accepting that a wife could accuse her husband of sexual assault. But he added that he had learned how to read previously baffling signals from women who wear short skirts, smile or simply walk alone at night without an escort.
“Men have weaknesses and when they see someone smiling it is difficult to control,” Mr. Kelifa said, explaining that in his own country, Eritrea, “if someone wants a lady he can just take her and he will not be punished,” at least not by the police.
You let your fear guide you, not your rational mind.
