Rivera Beach Florida renames and replaces Old Dixie Highway with Barack Obama Highway.
It's the second street in the Palm County to be named after the 44th president.
Big waste of money renaming roads and schools and airports after presidents. But Grover Norquist--that bastion of no tax increases ever--has spearheaded a campaign to rename at least one notable public landmark in all 50 states after Ronald Reagan. I'm sure all of you on the right are lambasting him for all of those wasted tax dollars, right?
Good show. The most significant thing President Obama has done is prevent this country from falling into a speculation induced replay of the Great Depression. That alone deserves a highway sign or two.
I am annoyed by all the "Veterans Memorial Highways" or Bridges or Parks. I guess that is simply cheaper than providing health care for service related injuries including mental and emotional damage.
If they want to rename dixie highway to something a little more racially sensitive, fine, but to name it after obama is ****ing stupid, and I voted for him twice... too soon

I will completely support ANY road/building/other entity being named for Obama...as long as it is posthumously😇
