Of course the question is why are there so many guns in places where there are no gun manufacturers? Who or what is flooding the African American community with guns?

Gangs. 75% of Chicago gun murders is gang related.

This is pretty common knowledge not sure what you were trying to imply.

I don't agree. I look at the states with some of the highest murder rates. They have the death penalty and will use it.

There you go. Look to tje most violent time in history outside of the 1980s. The 1920s. Prohibition. Organized gangs committed alot of murder.

Many people only want talk about Black men committing murders. Because of that, I often ask "what is your point in bringing this up"? I look at it like this. If it is hurting anyone who isn't Black, then people will get up in arms about it. However, if Blacks, especially males, are suffering the worst, then that factor gets ignored.
Because policy makers, at least democrats, talk in general about our gun crime "problem" as if it is spread evenly around all populations. As you seem to recognize, it is largely (not completely) concentrated in a specific demographic.

You can't trust anything from the Brookings Institute.

Even worse, Brookings reports gloss over the harsh realities of jihad terror and Islamism, instead recommending that the U.S. reach out to and cooperate with Islamist and jihadist groups.

They are funded by terrorists.

Maybe someone will figure out a way to change the black culture, I hope so. There are too many good black people who suffer because of gang violence.

Or perhaps this is about hood rat culture than Black culture at large. Jazz, R&B, Gospel, people like Cornel West, Dr. Carson, they are part of Black culture. They aren't causing any kind of killing.

I've learned this. Hood rats are going to continue to hurt people. This is why many Blacks try to get away from such types when they get the chance. Bad enough that Black men have a history of being emasculated. Who wants to deal with hood rat behavior when they can go elsewhere?

From your link:
One more thing about this. I notice a few posters talking about "a good paddling" or "spanking" would work. A little statistic about this:

Corporal punishment rates higher in Black community – In America - CNN.com Blogs

African-Americans use spanking the most, the vast majority. One would think that with the rate of spanking in the Black American population, Black Americans would be the most behaved group. Statistics shows the very opposite. It shows Black men leading the nation in both committing murder and being murder victims. If one looks at the statistics, I don't think lack of a paddling is why many Black teenagers behave violently.

Yes the problem is gangs and the poverty etc that give them members.

But the politicians tell the affected residents the problem is guns and the new.....outsiders.

Classic distraction from the root cause.

There are loads of guns in Illinois yet Chicago has a gun murder rate 5x higher....but they say the problem is guns but wait....the other areas with guns don't have that problem.

In light of your post about the victims being predominantly black men I am surprised it's not considered offensive to just blame guns like so many do.

Lack of jobs does not help either. Add to that the breaking down of families. Patrick Moynihan stated this back in the 1950s. The 50s are touted as a time where families were at their very best. Moynihan saw that there was a high rate of Black single mothers going back to the 1950s and before.

Another example is Jamaica. Jamaica's murder rate shot up after it implemented strict gun control policies, basically trying to outlaw guns. That obviously didn't work.

Alot of politicians don't like admitting that they don't have the solution to the problems. They lose power.
