No he isn't. If your theory were true, he would be using the process outlined in the Constitution to change it. He is ignoring the Constitution and Congress and the voters are allowing it to happen.

I recall a video of him disparaging the Constitution and its fundamental blind spots, because it was a document of negative rights (what the government can't do) and not positive rights (free ****).

He's no scholar, but he definitely understands the basics and wants to change it/ignore it.
