B.L.M. activist Shaun King spoke about how some are using Jesus as a white man to promote their white supremacy agenda on the United States and the World. Any thoughts on this?

The origins of White Jesus / Mary / Abraham / Mary etc were painters in Europe painting Bible figures to look just like them. In reality all probably looked Arab / Middle Eastern. While they could have been olive complexioned it is nearly impossible for them to have been blonde haired and blue eyed. The God of the Bible would be the God of all and not a race of person.
Does the use of White looking images of actually Middle Eastern Bible figures potentially have a negative effect on someone who is non White if they are taught that God looks like Europeans? I guess it could, I hope anyone educated about their religion would understand those are not realistic renderings.
well, Jesus may have had the body of a heavy construction worker. I don't think he had long hair. What he looks like really is not that important if you understand Christianity and the bible. So I don't know why people argue about it.
Remember, The Bible is silent on exactly what He looked like and if the Bible is silent on His exact appearance, then God apparently doesn’t think it’s important for us to know. Humans give Jesus an image in order to be able to relate to him better. It is not like there is a hidden agenda.

I think that is King's point.
